Skylanders: Rune Rangers is an UNNOFICIAL fangame created by ZapNorris, set to be released worldwide on September 6th, 2024.

The Story

Long ago, ancient beings created stone tablets engraved with elemental power: the Runes, as these Runes contained immense power, but evil forces sought them out. After years of grand battle, the runes were sealed away by the ancients. To prevent evildoers from discovering these runes, a team of Skylanders known as the Runemasters was assembled to guard and protect the Runestones from falling into the evil hands.

Years later, the runes have been unearthed, and their power has been scattered across Skylands. Now, a great evil has unleashed, and is searching for Runestones, and now Portal Masters must send the Runemasters back into Skylands and stop the great evil from finding the Runestones.

Story- Avenge The Skylands

Ten years ago, Malefor was awakened, and used the power of the ancient Runestones to unleash destruction across Skylands. With the Skylanders split apart and outnumbered, and Malefor aided by a team of five dangerous villains, the dragon king has ruled Skylands with an iron grip for years. Still holding on to the dream is Snap Shot, former leader of the Trap Masters, now working as the sole warden of Cloudcracker Prison. Everything changes when Cynder miraculously re-emerges, potentially holding the key to defeating Malefor and saving Skylands. Together, alongside a makeshift militia of recruits found by Snap Shot, they’ll form the Cloudbreaker Alliance.

Figure Waves

The optional figures for Rune Rangers are, of course, released in waves. Unlike past installments in the series, the contents and approximate release dates for each wave are announced ahead of time through official social media channels, and can be pre-ordered on the official Skylanders Store website. By approximate, I mean the set date will be the first of the month (example- January 1st), but the figures may appear elsewhere earlier or later. With the current state of the supply chain and production of goods worldwide, things aren't really that certain anymore.

Select retailers will also sell the figures in-store, such as Target, Best Buy, and Gamestop. There will, of course, be retail exclusive figures.

Wal-Mart, instead of having their own exclusives, will offer limited stock of some reissued old figures. These include-
